Wagyu Beer Gravy Burger

Ingredients (Serves 2-3)

For the Burger Patties:

For the Beer Gravy:

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp flour

  • 1/2 cup stout or dark beer

  • 1/2 cup beef broth

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Optional toppings:

  • Caramelized onions

  • Sharp cheddar cheese

  • Pickles

Cooking Instructions

  1. Form & Season Patties
Divide the Wagyu ground beef into 2 or 3 equal patties. Season both sides generously with Wa-gyu'd Steak Seasoning. Set aside.

  2. Make the Beer Gravy
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and whisk in flour. Cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux. Slowly add beer and beef broth while whisking. Add Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. Cook the Burgers
Heat a skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Cook patties 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Add cheese in the final minute, if using.

  4. Toast the Buns
Toast buns cut-side down in butter or beef tallow until golden.

  5. Assemble the Burger
Place patty on the bottom bun, ladle warm beer gravy over the top, and add any additional toppings. Cap with the top bun and serve immediately.
