Excellent taste
My wife has a way with roasts - browns them on gas stove in hot cast iron skillet, adds a little magic (salt/pepper & a touch of nutmeg - her Mom and Oma's secret), adds some broth. Cooks them in a cast iron/dutch oven type roaster for 275 degrees/convection for 4 hours.... adds carrots/potatoes in last hour. You could eat this roast with a spoon, and the flavor was just super rich.... As with all KC Cattle Company products.... some of the best you can buy.
Highly recommended (right up there with the Bavette!)
This was the best pot roast I've ever cooked. Next day did sandwiches with carmelized onions, mushrooms and swiss on grilled sourdough. Don't expect leftovers, not going to happen.
Received one in the combo package. Slow smoked it on our Traeger and it was by far the best roast ever! Tender, juicy and very flavorful. The next day leftovers shredded for sandwiches topped the first night!
How do I cook roast in the over?
